Net Christmas tree I made this year.  It is also lighted.  I learned how to make these trees 50 years ago.  My mother use to make them and taught me.  I haven't made one for years.  I think I will make one for Marde Gras in purple.  The porcelain Santa, sleigh and reign deer came from Costco in the 80s.

I finally found the perfect white Christmas tree.  The Glass Santa Claus is a new addition this year.  My living room is a little on the small side and I wasn't sure the tree was going to fit.  But as the old saying goes, "Where there is a will, there is a way.  Many of these ornaments were gathered over a 30 year period of time.  Some given to me from dear friends of years past.  Merry Christmas everyone!

My Christmas Cactus is finally beginning to bloom.

My Mitzie in the garden.  We are finally able to let her out in the yard occasionally on her own.  When she was a baby she would eat everything and get sick in the process.  So, we had to keep her on a leash everytime she went outside.  Now at two, she still won't go out without a leash to potty, but loves to go out and lay in the sun and look for critters in the garden.

A beautiful fall day in front of my garden.  My hubby and I are on our way to friends for a lovely evening and dinner. The scarf is from Black Market/White Label.  The proceeds went to the fight for breast cancer.  I also bought the umbrella with the same print.  The dress is from Soft Surrounds, my new found online boutique.

It is hard to believe it has been almost a year since I last posted on this site.  Much has happened this year.  I retired in April and had two back surgeries, one on July 24th and one on November 6th.  I went to see my daughter and grandchildren in October for Halloween and made it through Thanksgiving and I am now enjoying in pleasures of the holiday season.  I have put up my decorations, done my Christmas shopping and I am now enjoying the festivities of the season.

My husband Jim and I are ready to to our annual Mardi Gras Ball.

Always look forward to dressing up and attending the balls and all the  lovely luncheons we have in the south at Carnival.
