It has been some time since I have posted, but I look forward to getting up to par and sharing my experiences as I discover the joys of growing older in a society focused on the young.  One thing I have learned through the years is that if you have a good attitude, life only gets better.  I didn't say always easier, but better.  By this point in life, most of us have seen our children grow up and seek their own lives and we are finding time to discover who we are.  As much as we would like to always be a part of our children's lives, it is not always possible.  It is our time to grow and to discover new interests, whether it is joining a women's group, learning how to paint, sew, learn a new language and if you are lucky enough to travel and experience what other cultures in the world have to offer.

Fall is hear and I can't believe how fast this year has gone.  I was going to retire in February, but I am still working 3 days a week and may continue to do so for some time.  I still have a hard time accepting that I am a "senior citizen" and can retire.  I think of senior citizens as people in their 80s.  I guess when I get there, I will think of them as being in the 100s.

On my off time I still enjoy my women's group activities, oil painting, sewing, decorating and gardening.  So, needless to say I don't have time to get bored. I am looking forward to sharing fashion and ideas, for those of us over 65, decorating and other miscellaneous projects and experiences.  I have been inspired by several other bloggers who have given me the drive to develop this site to inspire those of us 65 and over who enjoy life and are always looking forward to new experiences.

Wishing you all a wonderful life.
